How do I register? A Step by Step Guide.

Step 1: Pre - Registration

This is the first step to complete the registration for your course. It is where you will provide ID documentation and a passport style photo to be put onto your student ID. Registration will be open from Thursday 22 August.

Step 2: Pre - Induction

This is an online resource for you to learn all about the services the university has to offer. It also includes booking links for halls drop-off, faculty and programme welcome, including details of your on-campus induction schedule. The link for this will be sent to you after you have completed pre-registration.

Step 3: Registration

For home (UK) students this is the final stage of registration and there isn’t anything more you need to do. Once you have completed your pre-registration and it has been finalised, your ID card will be available to collect* from the Student Gateway in Gateway House, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. *For students at the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences (HLS), your ID card will be issued by the faculty during your induction. HLS will send you details about this. For international students it is an appointment-based face to face appointment where your ID is checked, you are handed your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) and given your student ID card. This begins from Tuesday 17 September. Go to the International Students’ page for more information.

Step 4: Induction

Each faculty and programme differs, but your induction will all include your course welcome, teaching team welcome and introduction to teaching and learning resources. It is during this period you will be given your student ID card.

Step 5: Welcome Week

That's all! Welcome Week is an opportunity for you to learn more about all the services and opportunities available to you while studying here at DMU. You will have the opportunity to directly engage with the services you will have read about in the pre-induction.
